ANTI THYROGLOBULIN ANTIBODY (ATG)

The Anti-Thyroglobulin Antibody (ATG) test detects the presence of antibodies against thyroglobulin, a protein produced and used by the thyroid gland to make thyroid hormones. Elevated ATG levels are commonly associated with autoimmune thyroid disorders such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Graves’ disease.
